| The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India has classes for beginners and advanced levels. Classes are held six days a week in three terms, from March to December each year. The teachers are Tibetans who speak English fluently and they are very experienced in teaching westerners. Dharamsala has the biggest population of Tibetans outside of Tibet so there should be a lot of opportunities to practice outside of the classroom. |  |

The program is designed to allow a student with no prior knowledge of Tibetan to become an oral translator in 12 months, capable of serving as an interpreter for a Tibetan Buddhist teacher. |
